IPL - 2009

The 2009  Indian Premier League or also IPL 2 was played between 18 April 2009 and 24 May 2009 .It was the second iggest cricket tournament after the cricket world cup .As that was the time of Parlimentary elections in India , the government of India refused to provide Indian Parlimentary  forces .But , As there were concerns that IPL2 is also targets of terrorists , so the BCCI decided to conduct the league  outside India and
on 24 March 2009 , the BCCI officially announced that the IPL2 will be held in South Africa .Some teams lostt their valuable players and also some gained a few good players to play for them.Star players from Kolkata Knight Riders like Ajantha Mendis , Brad hodge resigned with Kolkata Knight Riders .The Royal Challengers Bangalore had to lose one of their  valuable player , as Virat kohli resigned from the royals. Ravindra jadeja resinged from Rajasthan Royals and most importantly Dwayne Bravo had to resign from the Mumbai Indians and Shawn Pollock retired as a player for the Mumbai Indians. To be frank , this is a huge loss for the team. Sachin Rana, Mohnish Parmar , Angelo Mathews , Moises Henriques  have signed with   Kolkata Knight Riders .Graham Napier signs with Mumbai Indians .So , this time the team strenghts are equal among all the teams and will be interesting to see which team lifts the trophy and so 8 teams participated in the league and played 59 matches .EveryBody showed thier full strngth .
